Committees

Committee volunteers are essential to TriState Habitat for Humanity.

The Family Support Committee helps to prepare new TriState Habitat families for homeownership. They act as mentors and advisors to the family and help to monitor their sweat equity hours.

The Family Selection Committee reviews applications from prospective Habitat homeowners. They determine if applicants meet the qualificatins for home ownership and are involved with the application throughout the approval process.

The Fundraising Committee organizes fundraising events and solicits donations from companies and individuals for TriState Habitat for Humanity.

The Site Selection Committee investigates possible sites for Habitat houses, performs title searches and other research, and recommends suitable sites to the board.

The Volunteer Coordination Committee recruits, schedules and coordinates appropriate volunteers for Habitat projects.

The Public Relations Committee gets out the Habitat message through the media, through presentations at churches and companies, and at public events.
