What is a Team Build?
A Team Build is a one day building experience that makes a direct and significant impact to the community. Colleagues, family, and friends will transform into a construction work crew! TriState Habitat can accommodate up to twenty volunteers at a time on each home.
Who can participate?
No experience is required, just a willing attitude. Habitat supervisors will be on site to train volunteer teams. Ages sixteen and up can participate in home construction.
When does TriState Habitat build?
Volunteer teams are welcome on a weekday and Saturday during much of the year. Many companies allow employees to take off a work day to participate.
How much is a Team Build Sponsorship?
Team Build sponsors provide a donation which directly funds materials and labor costs associated with home construction. Team Build groups will receive special recognition on TriState Habitat’s website.
What can be gained from this experience?
Leadership and Team building
Consider coming out to the build site for a regularly scheduled staff or management retreat. Rather than paying for meeting space and speaker’s fees, make a difference in the life of a family while swinging a hammer as a team.
Communication
Challenge your employees to build trust and improve communication techniques by working on a Habitat home together.
Morale
Enhance staff morale through involvement with TriState Habitat. Employees can be involved in the fundraising as well as the actual building process. A Team Build is a great way to increase interdepartmental visibility and relationships.
Notoriety
Be a part of something life changing for you and others. Habitat for Humanity is one of the most recognized non-profits in the nation.
