Volunteering

If you love prowling the aisles at Home Depot, enjoy fixing things, or just want to help recycle building materials while supporting adequate housing, the ReStore needs you. Sales, display, cleanup of donations, merchandising and other "jobs" are primarily volunteer efforts. The ReStore can use your help! Be part of TSHFH's premier recycler of new and used building materials, tools and appliances. Call (513) 893-1102, or just dress down and drop by the store, to get involved. The ReStore always welcomes volunteers to work in the store. Also needed are volunteers with extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, heating/venting, etc. that would be willing to teach staff and perhaps conduct monthly workshops. Volunteers clean donations, set up displays, help customers . . . and much more!

While the Habitat ReStore sells many of the products other retail construction and home improvement stores sell, it varies in other aspects like its product selection, variability, etc.  Some of the activities we would like our volunteers to assist in may include, but are not limited to:

Volunteers are welcome in any capacity; all are needed.  A will to participate is the only requirement.
Types of voluteering include:
• phone information
• scheduling
• store guides, advertising
• book-keeping
• donation pick-up
• job-site deliveries (often small quantities)
• Inventory management
• Item repair
• cleaning
• e-mails
• web-site
• flyers
• cards
• vans/trucks/trailers drivers
• warehouse/forklifts operators
