Habitat for Humanity is able to help low-income families living in sub-standard housing because of the generous support of our donors. We don't accept any government funds for home construction. Habitat for Humanity is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, and donations to Habitat are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Habitat and its affiliates take pride in spending our donors' money wisely and effectively. Administrative and fundraising costs are less than 15 percent of our spending.
